Phyno Biography And Life History – Azubuike Nelson Chibuzor popularly known as Phyno hails from Anambra State but was born in Enugu on October 19th 1986; the award wining Nigerian rapper has done so much in the Nigeria music industry in such a short time of his arrival. He is a rapper and a producer but began his career as a producer and now he is known for his flair as he is able to use his native tongue to do all that is to be done in terms of hip pop. Phyno Biography Phyno is a talented igbo rapper who has succeed in releasing hit tracks like Alobam, Man Of The Year, O’ Set, Ghost Mode just to mention a few. Though he is not the first to have come up with this kind of music, but he is the first to gain acceptance even in the non igbo speaking parts of Nigeria. Phyno Biography Early Days While he was in secondary school, Phyno has always dreamed of being a music producer even though he had a very little or no idea on how he could go about it. He would play drums and disturb the whole class when there is a free period, making his own bits and fortunately for him he got exposed to the keyboard and drums while he was still in secondary school. He got his name Phyno derived from ”Phenomenal” from a secondry school friend. He started making money from music even in the higher institution, he attended Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu and in his second year he studied Public Administration. In 2014 there was a picture of the prolific rapper trending all over the social media of him kissing Kcee he came out to say that it was a bad camera angle that such thing never happened He has been on the block for a long time but as a producer and he has done some good works for some popular Nigerian artistes and has also worked with the like Timaya, Flavour, Tiwa Savage J Martins, Ruggedman, 2Shotz, Bracket, and has so many awards to show for his music prowess. In August 2014 Guiness Nigeria made him an ambassador along side Olamide and Eva Alordiah and he featured in the ”Made Of Black” Campaign. Phyno never thought he could hit it this big in the Nigeria music industry, and when he was told by Bliss Oga Boss, Mr Raw and some other close friends of his to use his rap talent he never envisage that it was going to be this big but thank God he listened and here he we are. He has won multiple awards, in 2012 Phyno won the Best Collabo at the Headies Awards and in 2013 in the Nigeria Entertainment Awards he went home with another award with one of his hit tracks Ghost Mode. He has won award on Chanel O Music Video Awards, African Muzik magazine Awards, City People Entertainment Awards, Nigeria Music Video Awards, Phyno has been nominated 15 times and has won 4 awards on different awards ceremonies.
